COMMUNITY NEEDS GRANT PROPOSAL PROCESS

If you are invited to submit a full proposal to the Stateline Community Foundation for a Community Needs grant, the guidelines below will assist you in completing that proposal.

Proposals are considered on a quarterly basis and must be received by the Community Foundation by close of business on January 1, April 1, July 1, or October 1. If the deadline falls on a weekend or holiday, applications are due on the last business day prior to the deadline.

You will be notified in writing of the Foundation’s Board of Directors decision six – eight weeks following the deadline date.

When applying for a Community Needs grant, include the following information:
  1. Completed Stateline Community Foundation Grant Application.
  2. A statement containing the following information: (4 pages or less)
    1. Project summary. (Including evidence of need)
    2. Project and agency budgets.
    3. Project timeline.
    4. Project benefits or outcomes in measurable terms. (Who will be better off and how?)
    5. How are you working collaboratively with other local organizations to maximize the benefits to those served as well as resources obtained?
    6. Principal sources of support. (Confirmed and potential)
    7. If the project continues, indicate future funding plans.
    8. A copy of the IRS Federal Determination Letter 501(c)(3) (If previously submitted, include only if there has been a change in your organization’s tax-exempt status.)
  3. A current list of the organization’s officers and directors.
  4. A copy of the organization’s most recently filed 990. (One per application-per year)

The Community Foundation reserves the right to refuse unsolicited proposals.
